The Challenge:
Leadership & Lattes is a professional development and women's empowerment group that holds virtual and in-person events every month focusing on different topics. As marketing manager, my job was to create interactive posts for the group's Facebook page that were inclusive and motivating.


The Solution:
I created a post schedule of 4 posts per week, focusing on inspiring quotes, open-ended questions, interactive activities, and event announcements. Since the implementation of these tactics, the Facebook group has steadily grown by an average of 6 members per week, or nearly 1 member every day. With an average of about 1300 impressions per week and members in 14 different countries, this group is growing at an excellent rate.


Insights:
The target audience for Leadership and Lattes is mostly women in professional roles aged 25-54 years old in the Baton Rouge area. With this in mind, I focused on using motivational quotes from public female figures in my post designs, as well as making sure that the posts were applicable to people from all over the world rather than being location-specific.

Monthly meet-ups for Leadership and Lattes centered around various topics that changed each time, but included financial literacy, emotional intelligence, creating vision boards and setting goals. Because these meetings were often in the mornings on weekdays, I created posts that reviewed what was discussed each time and provided takeaways for those who could not attend.


Big Idea:
Create content for the Leadership and Lattes Facebook group that empowers and educates women, while driving monthly discussion sign-ups.
